Father's Day

So I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day weekend! We kicked off the weekend with a BBQ with Jake and Candis. That was a lot of fun! Mat and I are losers and don't get out very often, it was good to see everyone! Thanks for the invite Jake & Candis!!
We both had to work on Saturday, so we did that and then just vegged around the house. Sunday we went up the mountain with my parents, and sister. We found a really nice little field with a creek running threw it up by Don's Lake. Mat and I took a quad and the 125. It was nice to get up on the mountain and out of the valley heat. We had fun throwing the rope @ Tosha's practice steer. Aubrey and Cayden had tons of fun learning to cast a fishing pole. Mat, Aubrey and I went for a ride on the toys to the lake. Neither of us had ever been to Don's Lake. It is small but very pretty up there! It was nice no one was there, so Mat showed Aubrey how much fun it is to throw rocks into the lake. She was laughing so hard I thought she might fall in!
I took pictures of Aubrey for Mat and my Dad I think they turned out soooo cute! Aubrey was being such a ham the day we took them.

And today Mat and I are going to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary! Time flies, I can't believe it has already been two years since Aubs (remember that HUGE belly!) and I walked down the isle. I am so thankful to have Mat, he means the world to me! Happy Anniversary to us!

Summer Fun

We have been busy the past few weeks. Mat has been working a ton, and when he isn't at work I have him busy doing something for me. I am working two jobs, and have a ton of stuff going on.
Steve and Michelle gave me a bike and I finally got it all fixed up. Aubrey and I have so much fun going on rides. Aubrey, my Grandma and I went to the park for the Arts Festival. It was really cool to see all the amazing things people can do! I had this guy draw Aubrey's name in symbols that all mean something different. We ate some huge fires, a sugary treat, and a wood fired pizza! We were taking a break from the sun and there was this chair behind one of the vendors and Aubrey being the outgoing child that she is just climbs up it like it was her's. She is so adorable! We just had the PRCA Rodeo here in Moab, I am on the committee and have been super busy with that the past few weeks. Everything turned out great, and the rodeo went well! Then Aubrey and I went down to Cedar City for Kade's blessing. That was a nice trip away from our crazy busy life. Justin and Lei took us up this canyon to a waterfall. The hike was a bit tricky in flip flops but we all managed to make it. The canyon was really pretty and the kids LOVED the waterfall. Thanks for an entertaining weekend!! Mat and I are still trying to get our house moved to our property, hopefully we get it done before we go to South Dakota. I can't wait for Aubrey to have a yard to play in. She loves to be outside, and I will love the fact that she can go by herself and I won't have to worry about her getting out in the street. I am planning my parent's 25th Wedding Anniversary party, that will take place in just three short weeks. They have their ups and downs but truly have been an inspiration, not many people stay together these days. It is amasing the love that they still have for one another! Congrats Mom and Dad we love you!!
Oh and my cousins from Montana are in town this week. We are having tons of fun. We drove around the mountain, we went river rafting, my mom took them to Power Dam, Jake took them on Hell's Revenge and I think we are having a BBQ on Sunday! Always something going on in our crazy beautiful lives!

Exciting Stuff!!

So much exciting stuff has happened in the last month! Aubrey is getting so big, and loves to do things on her own. She threw her Binky in the trash two weeks ago and hasn't had one in her mouth since! Yipee, it was so cute I was taking the trash can liner out to replace it and she just chucked in it and said, "Trash! Bye-Bye Binky." I asked her if she was sure and at first she said no so I pulled it out. She promptly grabbed it out of my hand and threw it back in. So I explained to her that if I tie up the bag she can't ever get it back. She just kept saying. "Bye-Bye Binky." I was totally expecting to have to take it from her, but she did it all on her own. =) Today Mat and I changed Aubrey's bed from a crib to a day bed. She loves that she can get in and out all on her own. (Did I mention that she is very independent?) So she has spent all afternoon saying, "Night Night" and running off to get in her bed.Mat and I are meeting with a guy about moving our trailer on Monday. I can't wait until we are on our property and Aubrey can have a yard with grass to play in. So hopefully that happens soon.I shot my first wedding solo. It was absolutely beautiful! I already have my second one booked for this July! So my photography is really taking off and I am having so much fun with it.Last Saturday I went to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet with my mom and Dani. We had a lot of fun! Just when I thought it was going to end just like last year, I won something! I won a HUGE canvas tent, 2 cots, 2 camp chairs, 2 sleeping bags, a cooler, a lantern, a picnic table, and a little cooker! Yay, just what we need for this summer up on the mountain! I can't wait for the snow to melt so that we can go and enjoy the property.
Mother's Day was so nice! Mat took me, my mom, my sister and all the kiddos out to Red Cliffs Lodge for their Mother's Day Brunch. Then we went to the hospital to let the kids sing a song to Grandma Zufelt. And then Mat, Aubs and I headed over to Grand Junction. We got a seat for Aubrey to go behind the new bike that I got. Mat took me out to dinner at Chili's. It was the perfect way to end the day.

I work to pay medical bills....

This statement has never been so true! I am working two jobs and I believe the total cost of my leg is around 40,000.00!!!! So yes I work to pay medical bills. Anyway now that I got my complaint in, I really am having a lot of fun at Crystal's. We just about have a groove and are finding our way in the insane world of ice cream and cupcake sales. Mat and Cody were so nice to come and move a cabinet, and install the curtain rods. Just a few more minor details and I do believe we will be finished with all the organizing and decorating. I am excited for my friend and grateful that I am able to help! Congrats to you Crystal!!
Aubrey is talking so well, you can actually have a conversation with her that makes sense! It is really nice to be able to understand her, and not be insanely frustrated 90% of the time. Now if we can just get her convinced that she really doesn't need the Binky any more. Aubrey LOVES the water, now in the bath she gets on her tummy and tries to swim and sticks her head in the water and blows bubbles. Time to start going swimming at Papa Bo's!
Mat finally got the holes finished on the property, and the inspector said they are good to go. So that means that all we have to do is pour the cement, move the trailer, and get all the utilites hooked up and we will be living on our property!!! I am sooo excited, now if I could just snap my fingers and be done...nope didn't work. I guess we will just have to put in some sweat equity.
Here are some pictures from the past few weeks. Hope everyone is well!

Coloring Eggs

So we were suppose to go color eggs with Cayden and Cash today but it didn't happen. So Aubrey and I just colored eggs by ourselves. We had a lot of fun. I originally bought a Tie Die egg kit but when I read the instructions they were to complicated for Aubs to do by herself, so I opted for good old fashioned food coloring! To bad I was impatient and didn't stir long enough but oh well we had fun anyway. =)

Life...

So I had surgery on the 23, it was pretty uneventful. I went to the hospital @ 1pm Yes I said 1 PM and I could not eat after midnight OR have any water after 4am!!! In my opinion that is just rude to make some one wait ALL day knowing they can't drink anything. Any way moving on. They removed the one screw with out any problems. It was not broken, bent or damaged in anyway so it turns out I am not crazy and to all those who worried like crazy you can CHILL. =) In just three short weeks I will be FREE from my walking boot! And as great as my doctor has been I can't wait to never go to his office again!See boring old screw!
Our nephew William Kade was born on the 26th @ 5:33pm. He weighed 7lbs 14oz and was 20in long! I can't wait to meet him!
My friend Crystal opened up a Cupcake & Ice Cream shop, so I have been busy helping her. We had a ton of fun decorating the shop. I have been dieing to try out chalkboard paint, and I convinced her to do a chalkboard Menu. It turned out AMAZING, and now I have to make Aubrey one for her room! So you all will have to stop in and have a treat with us!
Jeep Safari madness has begun around here. There are so many people in town, and after not getting out much all winter I am totally loving it! The weather has been sooo nice, we spend a lot of time outside and Aubrey is enjoying that a bunch. She has used her potty a few times, and is starting to let us know BEFORE she goes that she needs to so hopefully we will be diaper free in a few months!!Gotta love it when Daddy is in charge of potty training. Now she runs to the bathroom and says book book!
I totally had to share this. Mat and I decided to have breakfast for dinner on Friday night. So we made some waffles, bacon and eggs. And Mat had this horrid looking thing for dinner!!!
Oh my it looked so gross and he ate every single sugary bite!
Well Aubrey just woke up so I will end for now and hopefully I will get back on track with my regular posting schedule! Hope everyone has a great Easter!

Lazy........

Wow!! I have been so lazy with my blogging! Probably because since I ditched my crutches I have been on the go go go! The weather has been so nice in Moab the past few days that Aubrey and I have been outside most of the day. She LOVES to be outside, and it has been nice for me too. Being stuck inside and on the couch all winter was NOT fun. So wahoo for Spring and Summer can't get here soon enough. have been having so much fun sewing! Laura and I were thinking that we might get a booth at the Farmer's Market and she can sell her apple butter and I could sell, some of the stuff I have been making. But we haven't decided if we really have the time to do it yet.
I am going CRAZY waiting for Leilani or Justin to call and say baby William is on his way into the world! Pretty sure Leilani is getting impatient herself =)
I tried a recipe from OurBestBites.com this week, I made pizza. And let me tell you it was so DELICIOUS! Mat even liked it, and he is not that big a fan of homemade pizza crust. So yipee for us and our new found dinner!
Well I am going to end my novel and go sew something before Aubrey wakes up from her nap. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weather!
