Catch up.

So we have had a very busy November!  We ended October with a trip down to Cedar City to see Justin, Leilani and all the kids for Sadie's blessing. Aubrey and I had a ton of fun and I am so glad that we went.

 That is approximately 2000 sheep!!

We have been non stop since the month started. We went to Chuckie Cheese in Grand Junction for my mom and Cayden's birthday. Aubrey had a ton of fun there and I'm sure we are going to have to go again real soon!

Mat, Aubrey and I joined Bo and Laura up at the Cabin (everyone else calls it the hut but really it is a Cabin and the "cabin" that they build next will truly be a HOUSE!) We snowmobiled in and it was a lot of fun! Aubrey loved riding the snowmobile.

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun! We got to see both of my uncles on my mom's side and Justin and Leilani were in town too. We played catch phrase with my family and I think my stomach still hurts from laughing so much!

Getting Wood...

We decided that we had better start getting wood if we wanted to be able to use the fireplace this winter. Deborah, Larry, my mom and my sister all joined us up at the property to get the trees that are laying all over the ground. I was having a lot of fun right up until a log I was chasing rolled into a bee's ground hive!  Scared the life out of me, I went running and screaming and luckily I was only stung three times. =) It was scary at first because the only other time I have been stung my arm swelled up three times its normal size. But thankfully they just hurt like hell and didn't swell. My sister also got stung once and my poor mom got bit by an ant! I doubt they will be joining us the next time we go out for wood. I told Mat that I would prefer to go out to Lasal where there are no bees living in the ground next time. =) We had a lot of fun despite the few painful moments.

Summer moments....

Well it is the second day of fall and I am loving it! Fall is probably my most favorite time of the year in Moab. It cools off, the air is crisp and fresh, the leaves start to change color, football season starts, and best of all we get a short break from the tourist as they start to leave town.
I was cleaning up my picture files trying to get organized for the Christmas books I make Cayden and Cash every year and stumbled across some summer moments that I had not blogged about (forgot to blog about). So here they are all rolled into one post.

We spent this fun filled day on the mountain working on the cabin. The guys got a lot done and the girls painted the propane tank. I am excited for next summer when we will be able to utilize the cabin that we have all spent so many hours building this summer. Not to mention Mat and I bought a camper just last week, after searching for a good deal on a decent one all summer we finally found one but it is to late in the year to really get to use it. I can't wait for next summer to get here!

Clear back in June, we had an crazy fire in the sleuths down by the bird preserve. Just a few days later the river flooded up over its banks! These pictures I took down Kane Springs road on June 11th. It was shocking how high the water was, it flooded a lot of the camping sites and some peoples property. In the last photo that is the top of someones shed! Just goes to show how intense Mother Nature can be, one day crazy fire few days later insane flood!
Aubrey cleaning her sun glasses because, "Mom, the are dirty again!"

The pictures above are also from June, it was a Sunday afternoon and we decided to take the rhino up the mountain and eat lunch. Did you see the deer?

Another weekend out in the Rhino! We went to the 'Behind the Rocks' trail and played on an obstacle for a few hours. I can't remember what it is called but I do remember that no one made it up it. The guys went out like three weekends in a row trying to get up it. I'm pretty sure that Cody broke something every single time. =) Tons of fun!

I'm not sure how on earth this weekend got skipped! It was Labor Day Weekend and we went camping with Deborah, Larry, Kirsten, and my cousin Dustin. We went up to Deborah's Grandfathers property on the back side of the mountain. We had A LOT of crappy things happen this weekend, but we had A LOT of fun too. We had THREE tires blow out on the trailer! It was insanely windy, and cold, like so miserable! But when the wind would die down, and things were calm it was very enjoyable. Larry fed us good, he took his smoker up and smoked a brisket for dinner one night, he made fajitas, pancakes, and one morning he made hockey pucks =) (burnt black biscuts). So after we got off the mountain, Mat and Larry had to round up some tires and go back and get the trailer and the four wheelers. Crazy way to kick off our summer time fun on the mountain!
