Christmas

My dad had to work on Christmas day and Tosha and Jake said they weren't going anywhere during the day so we opened all our gifts on Christmas Eve. Which was really weird and I don't think we will be doing it again. The kids had a ton of fun opening all their stuff. Aubrey opened all her stuff by herself this year I was so excited cause she had no interest in it at her birthday.
We had a very lazy Christmas this year. We went out to Bo and Laura's at 11 then to Grandma Zufelts at noon for lunch. We came home gave Aubs a nap. Santa was late getting to our house this year he stopped by while Aubrey was sleeping :) After Aubrey woke up she tore into her stocking and colored on her new desk from Santa. My mom made our traditional Navajo Taco Christmas dinner, they were so yummy!
Update on my surgery. I have another swelling check on the fourth and we are hoping it is down enough to do surgery on the fifth.
Hope everyone has a happy and healthy New Year.

Surgery

So I do have to have surgery to fix my broken bones. The Dr. did a C-T scan and let me tell you those things are high tech! Apparently I broke 9cm of bone and the normal person only breaks 2. So the surgery is going to be a pretty serious task. We were hoping the swelling would go down enough to do the surgery tomorrow but it hasn't. So they will call me Wed to let me know when it will be, the dr is talking about coming home from vakay a day early to do it. And if that is the case I will be having surgery on New Year's Eve! LAME!! But I would love to just get it over with and start the real healing!

Streak broken

Well my 23 year 11 month streak of not having a broken bone ever was broke last night. I was our delivering christmas cards and gifts. I was at Jake and Candis' house, they weren't home so I was walking back to my truck when I slipped on some ice. Not really sure why but when I fell I broke both bones in my right leg. It was the weirdest thing, I knew I broke it but it really wasn't this horrible fall. I just slipped and went down, retarted but whatever. Luckily, I had my phone in my pocket and not in the truck. I called Mat who was working at the other end of 5th West, told him to hurry and get me I couldn't move and was freezing laying in the snow. Poor Aubrey was strapped into her seat still she couldn't see me just hear me screaming for help hoping a neighbot would come out, not sure what I thought they could do haha. Then Jake pulled up just before Mat, poor guy comes home to me laying in his drive way screaming. Finally, Mat and Jake pulled me up out of the wet snow and got me into Candis' car so we could go to the hospital. Once we got there they cut my pants and gave me some morphine to help with the pain. Ahh finally got a little relief from the pain. X-rays confirmed that I was indeed broken. Dr. Scherer said it is broken in 3 places, and both the tibia and fibia are broke. He had me call Dr. Kloepper to have him look at my x-rays to determine if I need to have surgery or just get a cast. Currently I am impatiently waiting for a call back with his opinion. Hopping that a cast does the trick! So that is yesterday's run down. Hope everyone is having more fun getting ready for Christmas then me!=)

No Internet...

So we don't have wireless anymore, my mom and Jake cut the line. So I am using my mom's work laptop with broadband for an update. So much is going on here, we are busy getting ready for Christmas, which we are not sure where we will be but there will be gifts! My parents should be in their house by then but we most likely will not be moved into ours. We got so much snow last night!!! I love it. Not so crazy about the idiots that cant drive and why they don't just stay home is beyond me. Anyway, we haven't had this much snow in town for like ever..well not in my lifetime anyway. They actually closed school!! I never got a snow day...pff. As much as I am loving the snow, I know that it will melt and then we will have mud! Which I HATE...all good things must come to an end I guess. Well I hope that everyone has a great Holiday Season, and I am taking the rest of the year off from blogging since I can't get online anyway. So hopefully sometime after we get moved in and settled we will be back up and running and then I will have a TON of updates!! MERRY CHRISTMAS and happy new year!!!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was pretty quiet this year. My dad had to work, my mom choose to work on the basement instead of cooking, and Tosha and Jake went to SLC. So Mat and I went out to Grandma Zufelts for lunch, we had a lot of fun, Mat wen out and shot his pistol with the boys and I played some apples and apples game with Ari, Kirsten, Lexi, Rhonda and Jaz. It was a TON of fun. I had never even heard of the game before and had a blast playing it! I am now going to go and buy it so I can introduce it to my family.
We then went down to Cody and Brit's for dinner. She makes the yummiest Turkey ever!! Not so sure what it is she does different but it is actually moist and not dry like most turkeys I have eaten.
So I escaped having to cook, Mat and I still got to eat all day, and we didn't have leftovers calling our names in the fridge! Yay for us. All in all it was a great day!
We are so thankfull for our families and all they do for us. Without each and every one of you we would not be the people that we are. So THANK YOU!!
And I am especially thankfull to our men and women in the armed forces, thank you all for the price you pay for our freedom.

Busy Busy

Things have been nonstop around here as we are trying to get things ready for my parents house. The basement is almost finished! They concrete guys just have a few finishing touches to do tomorrow. The house will be delivered on Friday, and the crew will begin putting it back together and on the basement Monday. So if everything goes smooth from here on out there is a very good chance we will all be moved by Christmas!!
