First trip to the mountains

Mat, Aubrey and I went snowmobiling and sledding with our friends Donnie and Cyndie on the 18th. It was Aubrey's first trip to Geyser Pass for some snow fun! She seemed to have fun. Mat sled down the hill with her.

I had meant to take my front pack with us so we could take her on the snowmobile with us but I forgot it. So Mat, Don, and Cyn went out and Aubrey and I stayed at the car. We had fun though!

She was feeling pretty cool in uncle Donnie's sun glasses.

5 months...

I can't believe Aubrey is already five months old!! Time has gone by so quick. We are enjoying the beautiful and quite warm weather here in Moab. Aubrey is reaching out for things now. We got a Jumperoo for her and she has so much fun in it. She is trying to crawl but doesn't really know what she is doing yet.
She is getting better at eating with a spoon. Already she has the I'll do it myself attitude. It is so much fun to watch her learn new things!
Bath Time Fun!!! Aubrey has so much fun in the tub. Even there she likes to do it herself. Mat and I are going to get her a little chair type thing that attatches to the side of the tub, so she can sit up and splash around.

Mmm Mmm...

I decided that since Aubrey literally JUMPS at my food when I am eating it is time to give her something besides boob juice. She seemed all excited at first and attacked the spoon, and then it actually entered her mouth and her smile quickly went to a "what was that and why was it in my mouth" look!

She will pick it up quick I think. She is so interested in everything, I love to watch her with something new. She enjoys playing with her toes, and a water bottle. She holds the bottle pretty well. She is interacting more and more each day, we are having so much fun!

Christmas...

Christmas was good for us this year. Good food, good company, and tons of fun watching the little ones eyes light up. We all got great gifts as well. Mat got 200 rounds for his 223, a coat, and some other odds and ends. I by far was spoiled this year, Mat got me three more of my FAVORITE bookshelves, and my parents got me a 40 cal pistol since I got my concealed weapons permit. Aubrey got tons of clothes, a really cool thing that lights up and puts shapes and things on the ceiling, a crawl with me pooh bear, and a rocking horse. Mat and I made Cayden a photo book which he absolutely loved!

It was really nice to see everyone, and catch up. It is hard to believe just how quickly time goes by. Last Christmas Mat and I found out we were pregnant, and now Aubrey is FOUR months old. The year has been good to us, and we are looking forward to the next!
Such a happy Aunt Leilani :-)

Hanging out with Great Grandpa Bennie

I thought I had already posted a blog about when we went and saw Grandpa but I guess not. The same weekend we went and got our Christmas tree we stopped in lasal and visited Great Grandpa Bennie. Here are some pics.

Finally finished

I wrapped the last christmas present last night! I am so glas that task is over. My mom, sister and I baked all week long and put our holiday plates together yesterday and got them delivered. Now all we have left to do is wait for Christmas morning!
Aubrey has quite the personality. She likes to shake her head "No" when daddy talkes to her. That is quite funny to watch and I am sure she will do that most of her adolescence :-) Bath time is her favorite time of the day. She sleeps most of the morning and is awake and loves to play in the evenings. I love to watch her grow and it is so much fun when she learns something new. She is moving into the "everything must go into my mouth" stage. Although she hasn't quite fiquered out how to get it there. She will soon enough I am sure.
We are saving our pennies to take a trip to Misssissippi next May, for the Bullock family reunion. I am really excited to see where my dad grew up, and meet his crazy family. Mat however hates to travel and I doubt he will go with us. He has already given me a handfull of excuses as to why he "wont be able to".

Aubrey and Cayden

We took the kids down for a joint photo shoot. Karisa's back drop was absolutely adorable. Aubrey wasn't the most cooperative however she did not cry! Me and my sister have some cute kids! Happy Holidays!!!
