Silver City, New Mexico

We have been crazy busy around here. I got some crazy funky "cold" (if you can call it that) a few weeks ago. I was so sick for a week and a half, but I lived to tell about it so I guess that is a good thing. My mom, Aubrey and I all went down to Silver City New Mexico for labor day weekend. It was a ton of fun! My Aunt just moved there so we went to have a little party and catch up. Seems like everyone was sick at some point. Three of the four nights we were there one kid or another was throwing up! But we didn't let it stop us from having a good time. We played horse shoes, went and seen the HUGE open pit copper mine, toured the mountains and a bit of down town.

Oh, and I can't forget the wine festival Deb took us to in Las Cruces. That was a bunch of fun as well!

Aubrey went to two new states, Arizona and New Mexico. So she has officially been to every state in the four corners. When I was her age I had already been to Saudi Arabia! I would say it is time for some traveling! Thanks for a great weekend Aunt (Grandma) Debbie!

This past weekend was Aubrey's first fishing trip. We went up to Oowah lake, my mom joined us and it was fun. Jake and Candis and the girls were up there too. We didn't catch any fish (I blame it on the old bait) but I think Aubrey is more of a cast and reel kind of fishing woman =).

We packed up all the fishing stuff and were having lunch before we headed off the mountain when it started to rain, Jo could only find one spot that was dry! She is really quite smart, stay dry and still enjoy conversation.

Thanks for a fun trip Jake and Candis.
Oh and I guess one more bit of news. I no longer work for Wells Fargo, I am now a Zions bank employee. I am so happy with my decision to make the switch, I have a LOT less stress in my life and couldn't be happier with my job!

Aubrey's Third Birthday

Yesterday was Aubs Birthday. She has been waiting for that day it seems like six months or more! Every party we went to this summer she would ask when her birthday was. She woke up in the morning and said, "Mom! Finally today is MY birthday!" She is such an amazing and bright kid. We spent the day like we have every year on her birthday and we had a ton of fun! Aubrey and I went and got pedicures at Lee Nails. Aubrey got her hair done by Taylor, and we had a little party to celebrate. (I have to admit Aubrey's birthday tradition of pedi's and a trip to the salon is something I so look forward to all summer!) Happy Birthday to the most amazing little girl a mom and dad could ask for! We love you Aubrey.
Jaz making sure she looks good for the camera. =)
Poor little Maddie almost turfed it!
Love these boys!
I hope all her wishes come true!
Loving on the pillow pet Grandma V got her.
Thanks Uncle Jake, Aunt Candis, Jaz & Jo!
Candy MADNESS!! (Thanks for your help Curt)

Already August....

I can't believe it is already August and my baby girl will be THREE in just 6 short days. It is amazing how fast they grow and learn.
Aubrey just a few weeks old.
Aubs just a few weeks from THREE!
We have been having a ton of fun the last two months. I spent the entire month of July driving back and forth from Moab to Grand Junction. I got a promotion at work and now I am a Personal Banker. I spent Mon-Fri in Junction and my weekends crazy busy at home. My sister got married on the 16th, it was a GORGEOUS ceremony on the mountain. I am so happy for her and Austin.
My mom, sister, Aubrey and I went to Monticello for their July 24th celebration. It was a lot of fun we watched a parade, hung out at the park and watched a burn out contest that seemed to consist of one entry. I sure wish that Moab had festivities like that for the community and not just the tourists!
I took pictures for Tosha's old rodeo friend on July 30th. Katie was a beautiful bride and their location was just amazing!
Breath taking right??
We got to see Nephi, Elizabeth and their adorable little girls for a short time this year. It was nice to visit, they crammed a ton of things into their few short days here in town so we didn't see them much, but I am glad that we got to see them this year.
Some of the Zufelt gang the rest of us were either not present or not "picture ready" =)
This past weekend was a ton of fun! Friday was Relay For Life here in Moab and so we hung out at the High School track and walked, and walked, and walked to raise money for cancer research. It was a lot of fun just like it is every year. We raised over 36,000 dollars this year! Yay!!!!
Phil Muller with the torch.
Melanie Dolphin--I love her!
After I was done cleaning up from Relay Deborah and Larry joined us up at Bo and Laura's property for an awesome fun camping trip! We got up to the mountain at about 3 and Mat and Larry helped Bo put up the last of the rafters on the hut. I took Ethan, Gage and Aubrey for a ride in the Rhino, the boys thought that it was really cool that I hit a rock and it flipped up under us and made a loud noise. Ethan told Gage that I didn't really know how to use the Rhino because I wouldn't go four wheeling up a hill. =) Apparently, I am not as cool as I thought I was. After Bo, Laura and the boys headed home I put together some hobo dinners and while they cooked we all went on a night ride on the mountain. It was a TON of fun Mat took us on a loop threw Redd Ranches property, and when we got back dinner was done. I wish cooking was that much fun at home. Thanks Jake and Candis for letting us stay in your camper, we had a blast!
Aubrey was a little tuckered out after our ride on Sunday. =)

Temporary Hiatus....

Slacker ALERT!! It seems as though I have forgotten how to blog...not so much. My excuse...Life has been CRAZY. We are all healthy and happy. We have been so busy the past few weeks, I'm not even sure where to start.
I survived the Rodeo, even with all of the craziness that went with it. Aubrey and I were able to take Miss Rodeo Utah, Martina Wardle, out to breakfast while she was in town. She is a great person! We are so thankful that she was able to make it.
I had the honor of taking the photos for Ariane and Casey's wedding in May. Talk about an adorable couple! These two are seriously the most perfect match EVER! Ari made the most beautiful bride, and Casey gave us all quite a show trying to get enough money to buy his bride back. Thanks for a great evening!
Crystal and Joe FINALLY got married! After a seven year engagement the were wed on June 4th (yep Rodeo SATURDAY!) it was seriously the most MAGICAL moment I have ever witnessed. The love that they have for each other is amazing and it shows!
Donnie and Cyndie have been living with us since Easter, we were all beginning to think that they were never going to be able to move into their house. But they finally got everything finished and got to move in this past weekend. We are so happy for them. Aubrey is pretty sad that her friend doesn't live with us any more but she is adjusting to being the only 'baby' again pretty well.
We bought Don and Cyn's Rhino and we have been out every weekend since we got it! Aubrey is in heaven when we go out. I can't wait for all of the snow to melt off the mountain so that we can get up to the property from this side.

On Father's Day we went with Jake, Candis and their girls to Bo and Laura's property. We had to take the scenic route threw Lasal. It was quite an adventure that included; rain, snow, a fallen tree, "the long way around" and TONS OF MEMORIES! We had a blast thanks for going with us Jake and Candis!

**This sat as a draft for weeks so it is missing some photos but at least it is published. =)
