Fun and exciting times...

We have been doing a lot of things around here lately.
Valentine's Day was nice, we celebrated on Sunday and I made heart shaped pancakes. Aubrey was suppose to help me make cookies and cupcakes but decided that hanging out with dad was more fun.
We took Aubs out to shoot her gun for the first time. She absolutely LOVED it! I thought she might be a little scared since loud noises scare her but nope she didn't have a problem at all. In fact she cried when we told her she was done and couldn't shoot any more. Thanks PAPA JAMES she loves her pink rifle. Aubrey went with me to get my nails done and in true Diva fashion she had to have hers painted as well.We stopped by 4-H the other night so Aubs could ride G-ma's horse. She was not having it at all when we first put her on the horse but after just a few minutes you couldn't get her off!Lately, this is how Aubrey's bed looks when we put her down. Good thing she got a big girl bed for Christmas because I'm not sure they all would have fit in the old one.Candis and I won the drawing for Linkin Park Tickets! We thought it would be fun to take our hubby's but Mat wouldn't go so I had my girlfriend go with me. We had so much fun!Aubrey had several "play dates" the last month. She loves Hunter, he is one day younger then her and they are so cute together! She had a ton of fun when Kelby got to come over for a few hours and play the Wii with her.Aubrey LOVES money! She thinks it is so much fun to put change into the big change jar we have, and sometimes is quite mischievous about it. We also opened her a savings account at the bank.Today was the Canyonlands Half Marathon and Five Mile Run, I volunteered to help out. It was a lot of fun! I can't believe how much determination that some people have! Good job to all the runners you guys are AMAZING!!!!!!!!

When it rains it pours...

So we never found out what was wrong with Mat. =( He took the antibiotics they prescribed and they seem to have helped him a little. Or rather enough that he went back to work. Poor guy has the flu now and has been throwing up and running a fever for three days. I think he is finally feeling a little better today.

Yesterday was a sad sad day. Aubrey and I were heading home and we hit a deer just after getting on the highway. The whole front end of my truck is mangled. Aubrey and I are fine we weren't hurt but my poor poor truck was. =(

The night shot.
And the day time view =(
Aubrey had her first dance recital last month. Her and Jenessa were so adorable! When Aubrey was on stage she just stood there, and when we got home and I played the video for Mat she did the whole dance in the living room! Typical I guess.

We don't have a whole lot of exciting things going on right now just work and life. We are so ready for it to be warm again, and can't wait to get up on the mountain to roast a dog! Hopefully Spring is just around the corner.

Update on Mat

So some of you may know and some of ya may not but Mat was in the hospital on Tuesday. He went to the ER for stomach pains. His white blood cell count was 24000 and I guess normal is around 12000 so his was double. The Dr. said that meant he had an infection some where and he thought it might be Mat's appendix. So he did a CT Scan and that looked normal. We were sent home with no answers and Mat was told to come back Wed for another blood draw to check the levels again. When Mat went back his levels were normal. So we called and got him an appointment with a Dr. out of Monticello on Thur. That Dr. said he thought Mat might have an infection in his prostate he gave him some antibiotics and pain meds. Here we sit on Friday night and Mat still doesn't feel any better and we don't have a clue what is wrong with him. Just thought I would give ya an update. Hope everyone else is having a better week then us!

Christmas 2010

Christmas this year was so much fun! All of the kids new that all the boxes and pretty paper under the tree meant NEW STUFF!! Watching them tear open the gifts and their eyes lighting up with excitement was priceless.

On Christmas Eve we went over to my Aunt Helen's like we do every year and waited for Santa Clause to arrive. That was so much fun all the kids got new pajamas. =)
Christmas morning was perfect my mom came over @ 6 to watch Aubrey open her gifts. She was so cute Mat went in and woke her up and when he told her Santa had come she sat straight up in bed and got all excited I wish I had turned the camera on a few seconds quicker and got their conversation on film =( Next year I guess.

After we opened all our gifts here we went over to my sister's and woke up her boys. Cayden had woken up in the middle of the night and told his mom that there was a big tent in the living room she told him Santa brought it and he said ok and went back to bed! Haha so when we woke him up and told him Santa came he says " I know and he left a tent in the living room!" lol That kid is so funny.Mat, Aubrey and I went out to Bo and Laura's at 11, we oped gifts with everyone and then went over to Grandma Zufelts for lunch. My dad had to work so we didn't do Christmas at their house until 7pm oh man it was long day. It was nice to see everyone and have a nice and relaxing day.

Catch up...

Wow I knew that I had been slacking in the blogging area of life but man I didn't realize just how bad it was. Anyway, there is LOTS to catch up on. Starting with first November 2nd, VERY important date. The local elections went GREAT! Grand County now has Sheriff WHITE. Which is amazing and kinda sad at the same time. For as long as I have been alive Sheriff Nyland has been the man. I am thankful that I was able to be a part in our little map dot's history. Jim thanks for all that you have done for us and all that I know you will continue to do. =)
This past Friday we had Jim's Retirement party, which was an amazing and emotional night.

After the election came Turkey day, which was a very sad time around here in Moab. We had a ranger that got shot multiple times and every officer in the area was on a man hunt. Unfortunately, we still haven't found the waste of space. However, the ranger is hanging in there and getting better every day. So on Thanksgiving my sister and I were in charge of cooking I know scary right but shockingly enough we pulled it off and everything tasted great. Which has its ups and downs too. We ate good food but now my parents say we have to cook from now on! My mom was able to get away from the command post just long enough to eat dinner with us and it was back at it she went. I hope that we find the creep and justice is served!

I went to Las Vegas for four days this month for Rodeo Convention. Danalee went with me and we had a TON of fun! We learned a lot and it was nice to get away for a few days. It was the first time I was away from Aubrey for that long and it was super difficult but we both survived =). I tried hooking up with Justin but he ditched me for the Temple. Sorry Brother had to get my dig in =)

This past weekend we went out to get Christmas trees, we got the perfect tree! Actually we got 4 perfect trees! One for us which was quite the decision making process. One for Tosha and her family that Cayden shot down with his shot gun! Yes you read that right. And two for my mom cause she thinks every window needs one =). Amazingly enough they were all amazingly PERFECT!!! Yay us. And Aubrey cut the tree down with the help of Papa and her Daddy.

We are almost all ready for Christmas, however this year you will all have to come and get your gifts because the last time I went out to deliver them I broke my leg! Next Thursday will be a year exactly to the day since I slipped in Jake and Candis' drive way. I can't believe it has been that long already I swear I just started walking again yesterday. Besides that it is STILL bruised!

Well I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
