Christmas 2010

Christmas this year was so much fun! All of the kids new that all the boxes and pretty paper under the tree meant NEW STUFF!! Watching them tear open the gifts and their eyes lighting up with excitement was priceless.

On Christmas Eve we went over to my Aunt Helen's like we do every year and waited for Santa Clause to arrive. That was so much fun all the kids got new pajamas. =)
Christmas morning was perfect my mom came over @ 6 to watch Aubrey open her gifts. She was so cute Mat went in and woke her up and when he told her Santa had come she sat straight up in bed and got all excited I wish I had turned the camera on a few seconds quicker and got their conversation on film =( Next year I guess.

After we opened all our gifts here we went over to my sister's and woke up her boys. Cayden had woken up in the middle of the night and told his mom that there was a big tent in the living room she told him Santa brought it and he said ok and went back to bed! Haha so when we woke him up and told him Santa came he says " I know and he left a tent in the living room!" lol That kid is so funny.Mat, Aubrey and I went out to Bo and Laura's at 11, we oped gifts with everyone and then went over to Grandma Zufelts for lunch. My dad had to work so we didn't do Christmas at their house until 7pm oh man it was long day. It was nice to see everyone and have a nice and relaxing day.

Catch up...

Wow I knew that I had been slacking in the blogging area of life but man I didn't realize just how bad it was. Anyway, there is LOTS to catch up on. Starting with first November 2nd, VERY important date. The local elections went GREAT! Grand County now has Sheriff WHITE. Which is amazing and kinda sad at the same time. For as long as I have been alive Sheriff Nyland has been the man. I am thankful that I was able to be a part in our little map dot's history. Jim thanks for all that you have done for us and all that I know you will continue to do. =)
This past Friday we had Jim's Retirement party, which was an amazing and emotional night.

After the election came Turkey day, which was a very sad time around here in Moab. We had a ranger that got shot multiple times and every officer in the area was on a man hunt. Unfortunately, we still haven't found the waste of space. However, the ranger is hanging in there and getting better every day. So on Thanksgiving my sister and I were in charge of cooking I know scary right but shockingly enough we pulled it off and everything tasted great. Which has its ups and downs too. We ate good food but now my parents say we have to cook from now on! My mom was able to get away from the command post just long enough to eat dinner with us and it was back at it she went. I hope that we find the creep and justice is served!

I went to Las Vegas for four days this month for Rodeo Convention. Danalee went with me and we had a TON of fun! We learned a lot and it was nice to get away for a few days. It was the first time I was away from Aubrey for that long and it was super difficult but we both survived =). I tried hooking up with Justin but he ditched me for the Temple. Sorry Brother had to get my dig in =)

This past weekend we went out to get Christmas trees, we got the perfect tree! Actually we got 4 perfect trees! One for us which was quite the decision making process. One for Tosha and her family that Cayden shot down with his shot gun! Yes you read that right. And two for my mom cause she thinks every window needs one =). Amazingly enough they were all amazingly PERFECT!!! Yay us. And Aubrey cut the tree down with the help of Papa and her Daddy.

We are almost all ready for Christmas, however this year you will all have to come and get your gifts because the last time I went out to deliver them I broke my leg! Next Thursday will be a year exactly to the day since I slipped in Jake and Candis' drive way. I can't believe it has been that long already I swear I just started walking again yesterday. Besides that it is STILL bruised!

Well I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It is Fall...

The wonderful crisp feeling of Fall is definitely in the air. I love Fall it is in my opinion the best season of the year. The weather is perfect for outdoor activities, the leaves turn amazing colors of orange, red and yellow. Ahhhh Fall, sure wish it lasted longer.
We haven't been up to a whole lot lately, just work and Steve's campaign. I hope that everyone has gotten out and voted early or plans to on November, 2nd. It is such an important thing to do, your vote CAN make a difference!
I was lazy this year and didn't plan Aubrey's Halloween costume until oh 10 a.m. today! Lame right? Well she was a ballerina and I must say a very very adorable one. Cayden was a ninja, Cash was superman and they were super cute too! Aubrey and I had a ton of fun at Trunk-or-Treat

C-C-Changes.....

So many new and exciting things have been happening around here. I guess I just didn't blog about Aubrey's second birthday. =( Bad Mommy, it was a great day though. Aubrey got her first haircut! Taylor did a fantastic job, I was worried Aubrey wasn't going to hold still but she sat there perfectly. Then Aubrey, and I went and got our toes painted, she loves doing all things girly. =) We had a BBQ on Saturday the 21st she made out like a bandit. New clothes, doll, crib for her dollies, trampoline (yay no more jumping on my couch!), and a ton of other stuff. Thanks so much to our family and friends that were able to come and celebrate our princess' birthday.Papa got Aubrey her first gun! I am so jealous! I want a pink gun, I'm excited to take her out to shoot it. But not nearly as excited as her Grandpa is!
We are almost all settled back into the house. It is amazing how much work this project has been! But it is almost to the point of worth it all, I say almost because our yard is still just weeds, and dirt the walls still need painted and the list goes on. =) But it is ours! Not one of her most finest of moments, she wasn't happy that I was taking pictures of her crying on the ground instead of picking her up after she fell.
I guess the biggest change of all is I am now working full time! I got a job at Wells Fargo, and I am loving it. The hardest part is being away from Aubrey so much. I think we are both having a hard time adjusting to that. But, I'm sure in time it will be easier. I sure do miss spending all day with her though!Driving Grandpa's truck, at least she is safety conscience and buckled up!
Steve's campaign is in full force now we are only a month away from election day! I am so excited for him and his family. I know that he is the best man for the job and will bring great things to the citizens of Grand County.I can not believe it is already OCTOBER! Where in the world has this past year gone? Time just keeps going by so quickly. I am excited for the leaves to change and the start of a new season. Hope everyone is enjoying the nice crisp Fall. I know we are.Grandpa tought Aubrey how to drink every last drop of ice cream from your bowl.

Carpenter I am....

NOT!
(how do you like those for reference lines?)
I told Mat that I would take care of the stairs and the fence, in our whole move your house and take a month to get back into it adventure we are having. Well it has been an experience. My mother has been kind enough to help me since she just built her stairs a few months ago. I'm confident that we will get them finished however I am learning that we are definitely NOT professionals. Good thing we are having fun doing it. =)
Aubrey and Cayden decided to go into the hole that Axle dug last night, and WOW that dog can dig a hole! It was as deep as Aubrey is tall. They had a ton of fun playing in it though.
My poor adorable nephew Cash is just full of bad luck these days. A few weeks ago he was playing at his Dad's house and fell down and broke his arm, and just two days ago he slipped when getting off his tricycle and broke his leg! That poor kid just can't win! My mom and I are wondering if he has weak bones or what because most kids don't break so easily, I think my sister is going to take him to a good doctor outside of Moab and get him all tested and checked out to make sure it isn't something crazy like bone density issues.
We are really hoping to get moved into our house this weekend but the way our luck has been going it won't happen until next week. But fingers crossed anyway. The electricians are suppose to come today or tomorrow and do our part of the electricity and hopefully we can get RMP out on Friday. But I guess we will just have to wait and see.
I hope everyone has a good Labor Day weekend have fun and be safe! I have to work all weekend boo hoo!
